My Fanciful Accounts

“The act of writing is the act of discovering what you believe.” ~David Hare

Happy Birthday,  Elisabeth Sladen! So sad that you are no longer with us. I loved when you became the Doctor's companion. You were always so brave when you were snooping to get the facts for your "news stories." You did the best ever acting when hanging off the edges of cliffs. We were so inspired that we photographed our daughter imitating that action while on vacation in the Blue Ridge Mountains. You'd love to know that she nailed it, down to the distraught cry for help. The saddest day was when the Doctor brought you "home" to stay and then added insult to injury, when he didn't even leave you in the right place. It was wonderful to see you with the Doctor again, although they made us wait through six of his regenerations. Oh, the joy when they created the Sarah Jane Smith Adventures. They were so old school Doctor Who. I have loved every minute of every one of those adventures. My family just finished the last of them. Watching them, I couldn't believe that you were so sick. I think it made your passing even sadder. Elizabeth you touched the hearts of so many people of ALL ages. You are missed.
